Eduardo Bonilla-Silva

Professor of Sociology
Duke Univesity

Eduardo Bonilla-Silva is Professor of Sociology at 
Duke University, focusing in the areas of racial stratification 
and race relations.  He is the winner of the 2011 Cox-Johnson-Frazier Award of the American Sociological Association.  His keynote address is titled,
 “Racism without Racists.”

 




Friday Evening Speaker

Nikol Alexander-Floyd

Associate Professor of Gender and Women’s Studies and an Associate Member of the Political Science Graduate Faculty at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, Nikol Alexander-Floyd will speak Friday evening on  “Melodrama and Post-Civil Rights, Post-Feminist Ideology in Grey's Anatomy, Crash and the 2008 Obama Presidential Campaign."

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration is $65 for faculty or other professionals and $30 for students or retired people.

     The conference fee includes:

  •  Friday night reception 
  •  Continental breakfast 
  •  Coffee  
  •  Buffet lunch 
  •  A copy of the 2011 issue of the academic journal,  Michigan Sociological Review

 

Pre-registration is now closed, but you can still register
at the conference on Saturday morning.  
 

On-site registration will begin at 8:00 a.m., October 29, 2011.

While only those who have pre-registered can be guaranteed
a place at the luncheon, on-site registrants will be accommodated as space permits.

All presenters must register and pay the appropriate conference fee.
