Keynote Address: Professor Barry Johnston, Indiana University, Northwest:
"Pitirim Sorokin and Sociological Theory for the 21st Century."
Awards Presented: Charles Horton Cooley Award for
Scholarly Contributions to Sociology in Michigan,
Marvin Olsen Award for Distinguished Service to Michigan
Sociology and awards for the best student papers.
Registration: $35 [Special Student Rate: $20] includes lunch,
one-year membership in MSA, subscription to the Michigan
Sociological Review (handed out at the meeting).
Directions to Eberhard Center: The Eberhard Center is located in downtown
Grand Rapids near the Grand River, the Gerald R. Ford Museum and the Amway
Grand Plaza Hotel. Take either exit 85B from US 131 or exit 77C from
I-196. From exit 77C, take Ottawa to Pearl and turn right onto Pearl.
The Days Inn and Eberhard Center are located just across the river.
