New Michigan Audubon Executive Officer

At the Michigan Audubon Society Board of Directors Meeting at Manistee on June 14, 2008, many of us met new Michigan Audubon Executive Officer Jonathan Lutz in person for the first time. "Ranger Steve" Mueller took this photo of Jonathan.

Audubon Societies

The three Audubon Societies in Michigan (Michigan Audubon, National Audubon and Detroit Audubon) are independent organizations with no mutual affiliation. Being a member of one does not make you a member of another.

The Muskegon County Nature Club is an official chapter of the Michigan Audubon Society.

Besides Muskegon, there are nine other Michigan Audubon chapters in Southwest Michigan: Cass County, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Mecosta County, Michiana, Newaygo, Owashtanong Island (Grand Haven), and Pentwater.

One way to know if you belong to Michigan Audubon is the periodic arrival of The Jackpine Warbler in your U.S. mail.

Michigan Audubon connects birds and people for the benefit of both. It is the only Audubon Society in Michigan with direct grass roots representation from local clubs and members to the State Headquarters in Lansing.

Until 2010 I will be the Southwest Regional Elected Board Member to Michigan Audubon representing the ten clubs above. If I can be of service to you, please click here and let me know.
