The Campaign to Save Lost Lake
The northern half of beautiful Lost Lake and the 64 natural acres of surrounding forest and wetlands are at risk of being lost to development. By making a donation, you can help ensure this land is protected forever and open to the public as part of Muskegon State Park.
The Land Conservancy of West Michigan is working with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to save Lost Lake. $420,000 is needed to purchase the land. The State has secured approximately $190,000, but we must raise an additional $230,000 by August 31, 2008 to protect this beautiful natural area.
Two organizations are collecting donations on the campaign's behalf:
Land Conservancy of West Michigan, 1345 Monroe Ave. NW, Suite 324, Grand Rapids, MI. 49505
Community Foundation for Muskegon County, 425 W. Western Ave., Suite 200, Muskegon, MI 49440-1101
If donating by mail be sure to designate your gift for "Lost Lake".
